Onuigbo Reveals Why Abia-State Lacks A Federal-Secretariat

A former House Representatives member for Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency, Samuel Onuigbo, has disclosed why Abia State has no federal secretariat.

Honourable Samuel Onuigbo said previous administrations in the state failed to play their own part for the federal government to erect a federal secretariat in the state.

Chief Onuigbo, on Friday after visiting Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, at his residence in Umuehim Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South local government, said there was need for the state to have federal presence through federal secretariat in Umuahia.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain said previous government before Otti failed to pay compensation to owners of the lands for the proposed project, “thus denying the state such project 33 years after its creation.”

The former House of Representatives member, who said he visited Otti to show support, said he facilitated the federal secretariat project, along with rehabilitation of Umuahia-Ikwuano-Ikot Ekpene Road, Apunmiri Ubakala Skills Acquisition Center and Achingala-Umunwawa road from Ubakala in Umuahia South local government.
