The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Sunday Makinde passed away in the early hours of Friday after a brief illness at the age of 65.

Leading the delegation was the chairman of the forum and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, who, along with other PDP governors, met with Makinde at his private residence in Agodi GRA, Ibadan.

Honoring a Life Well Lived

Expressing the forum’s sympathies, Mohammed described the late Sunday Makinde as a man who lived a fulfilled life. He also commended Governor Makinde for his resilience, noting that he remained dedicated to his duties despite the personal loss.

“We stand in solidarity with you during this difficult time,” Mohammed assured Makinde.

A Display of Unity

In his response, Makinde expressed gratitude for the support and prayers of his fellow governors, stating that their visit reinforced the strong bond and unity among PDP leaders.

NAN reports that among those present were Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
