According to Ireporter Online, Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday led a delegation of prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, including serving governors and top party stakeholders, to the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to formally submit President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s nomination and expression of interest forms.

The delegation included the Governors of Imo and Ogun States, Hope Uzodimma and Dapo Abiodun, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, Hon. James Faleke, among other senior party figures who accompanied the Vice President during the submission exercise.

The APC National Working Committee has already resolved to adopt direct primaries as the mode for selecting its presidential candidate, a decision that was reaffirmed ahead of the submission ceremony. Party leaders noted that the policy direction and ongoing developmental projects under President Tinubu’s administration formed the basis of the party’s confidence in endorsing him for a second term bid, with the aim of ensuring continuity in governance and policy implementation.

Speaking prior to the submission, the National Chairman of the APC, Nentawe Yilwatda, emphasized that the party’s endorsement of President Tinubu was driven by what he described as visible developmental strides recorded under his leadership.
