Amidst preparations for Tuesday night’s showdown at the Red Bull Arena, Los Blancos encountered an unexpected setback when their bus collided with a white Toyota en route to Leipzig.

The incident occurred as the team navigated through German highways, having been forced to divert their flight to Erfurt due to an airport strike. Subsequently, the squad embarked on a 100-mile journey to Leipzig, which unfortunately culminated in a minor collision when the bus attempted to change lanes, according to reports from German daily BILD.

Fortunately, despite the scare, none of the star-studded Real Madrid squad suffered any injuries, with only minor scratches reported on the driver’s side of the bus. However, the white Toyota incurred damages exceeding £2,000, primarily to its cracked outside mirror.

Despite the disruption, the Real Madrid team safely arrived at Leipzig’s downtown Steigenberger team hotel around 3 p.m German time, ready to regroup and focus on the upcoming crucial match.

Notably absent from the squad was Jude Bellingham, the club’s promising young talent, who remained on the bus and was subsequently ruled out of contention for the match.

Bellingham’s absence comes in the wake of an ankle injury sustained during a previous match against Girona, where he showcased stellar performance with two goals.

Addressing Bellingham’s injury and potential participation in the UCL clash, Leipzig manager Marco Rose expressed skepticism, suggesting that the determined young player might still make an appearance despite the setback.

Rose remarked during the pre-match press conference, “I don’t believe he’ll be out until he’s not in the stadium tomorrow. I know Jude, he will do everything to play the Champions League game. He might see other doctors today in order to be fit. I’ve read a lot but we’ll see if he’s here or not.
