The move follows a motion by Senator Buhari Abdulfatai (Oyo, APC), highlighting the adverse effects of these disruptions on Nigeria’s socio-economic development and public trust in the aviation sector. The committee is tasked with investigating the root causes of the delays and proposing solutions to improve the reliability and efficiency of air travel in the country. Additionally, the Senate Committee on Finance has been instructed to halt further actions on the proposed tax bill until a meeting with the Attorney General of the Federation takes place.
