Shocking Incident: Newlywed Woman Allegedly Cuts-Off Husband’s Manhood In Kaduna (View-Details)
A newlywed woman, Habiba Ibrahim, allegedly severed the manhood of her 40-year-old husband, Salisu Idris, in Zaria, Kaduna State. No motive for the attack has been provided.
The incident occurred on May 26, after Idris returned from the mosque following early morning prayers. He described how his wife suddenly attacked him with a sharp knife while he was lying on their bed. A neighbor’s timely intervention prevented Habiba, whom Idris married four years ago, from completely severing his manhood.
Idris, a commercial motorcycle rider, expressed shock at his wife’s actions, noting there had been no prior misunderstanding. He was rushed to General Hospital, Makarfi, and subsequently referred to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria, for further medical treatment.
“I’m more concerned about my health right now and not thinking of remarrying shortly,” Idris said.
Idris’ mother, Rabi Salisu, who is caring for him at the hospital, stated that her son had never complained about his wife. She added that Habiba’s parents are concerned and willing to cover his medical expenses.
Efforts to reach the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansur Hassan, for comments were unsuccessful as his phone was unreachable.
