Suspected Acid Attack In South London Leaves 9 Injured, Including Children

The victims were attacked with a suspected corrosive substance, and six others, including three police officers, were injured when they came to their aid.
Detective Superintendent Alexander Castle stated that while tests are ongoing to determine the exact nature of the substance, they believe it to be corrosive. Witnesses reported seeing a man fleeing the scene, prompting a large-scale effort by the police to apprehend the individual.
Local politician Marina Ahmad described the incident as a traffic collision where a man assaulted the occupants in a car, throwing acid and injuring children. Firefighters used specialist equipment to detect the corrosive substance, providing immediate emergency care to the victims.
No arrests have been made yet, and the police are actively investigating the incident. Updates on the conditions of those injured will be provided as soon as possible.
