“Now, to Atiku, my advice is simple: You will be 81 years old in 2027, and you have been contesting for the presidency since 1993. It is time for you to act as an elder and let the younger generation take over. I appeal to you, in the name of Allah whom you serve, to ease off and allow the future to unfold,” George said.

Earlier, George had expressed concerns over the current state of the PDP, attributing its struggles to the selfish interests of some members. He emphasized the need for urgent reforms and unity within the party as it prepares for the upcoming National Convention.

George also criticized certain members of the PDP who, according to him, were already aligning with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in preparation for the 2027 elections. He described this as a betrayal of the party’s founding principles.
