Tinubu Mourns Loss Of Access Holdings CEO, Herbert Wigwe, In Tragic Helicopter Crash

In a somber moment, President Bola Tinubu has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic passing of Herbert Wigwe, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc, following a fatal helicopter crash.

Ireporteronline reported on Saturday the heartbreaking incident that unfolded when a helicopter transporting Wigwe and five others to Las Vegas crashed near the California-Nevada border in the US.

The crash claimed the lives of Wigwe, his wife, his son, and three other individuals, sending shockwaves through the business community and beyond.

In a statement released on Sunday by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu conveyed his shock and deep distress upon learning of the demise of Wigwe, a prominent banker and entrepreneur.

The President also extended his condolences to the family of Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former Group Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, who was also among the casualties.

President Tinubu described the loss of these esteemed Nigerian business leaders as an overwhelming tragedy that defies comprehension, expressing solidarity with the grieving families and the broader business community.
