Tragic Attack on Yobe School: Gunmen Kill Three Students, Injure One

Faudiya School in the Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State was brutally attacked by gunmen on motorbikes armed with AK-47 rifles. According to Punch, the assault has resulted in the tragic deaths of three students and left one other injured.

The attack occurred without any prior warning, leaving students and staff completely unprepared. The school, which is affiliated with the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, was struck by the assailants who stormed the premises in a sudden and violent manner. A teacher who survived the attack described it as an unexpected and alarming event, noting that there had been no prior indications of conflict with armed groups.

The Yobe State Police Command has launched an urgent investigation into the attack. Public Relations Officer Dungus Abdulkarim confirmed that the police were alerted via a distress call and are actively working to identify the attackers, understand their motives, and gather credible witness testimonies.

The injured student is currently receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital, while the community grapples with the devastating loss of the three young lives. The attack has left a profound impact on the local population, who are mourning the senseless violence that struck their school.
