What Happened Between Mohbad And His Wife Before He Died – Primeboy Makes Revelation

Nigerian artist, Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy, has disclosed that the late singer MohBad had a disagreement with his wife just two days before his tragic passing. Primeboy shared this information during an interview with Television Continental (TVC) on Thursday, shortly before he turned himself in to the authorities.

The Lagos State Police Command had issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with MohBad’s death, offering a N1 million reward for information leading to his capture. This action was taken after Primeboy, who had been a childhood friend of MohBad, failed to respond to an invitation from the police regarding the singer’s demise.

There were unofficial reports suggesting that Primeboy used a mystical object during a confrontation with the deceased.

In the interview, the troubled friend of the late singer stated, “I was his confidant. I was his everything because he lived with me at that time. My mother provided for both of us.”

When asked if he was with the late singer on the day he passed away, Primeboy replied, “No, I was not with him. We parted ways after that event. He asked me to step out of the car. That was on Sunday. He had called me on Friday to come to the Island. I didn’t even know he had a show.”

Continuing, he explained, “So, upon arriving at the Island, we were chatting, enjoying ourselves. Suddenly, he informed me that he had a show in Ikorodu. That Sunday, the next day, was my brother’s birthday. He suggested that after the show, I should invite my younger brother so we could celebrate together.”

When questioned about why he was asked to leave the car, he revealed, “He asked me to leave at Town Hall because he and his wife were having a private conversation, possibly about… I didn’t even know. It was a family matter. He simply said, ‘get out of the car.’ The issue was that MohBad was deeply upset. I know him. It was as if he wanted to get out of the car. I asked, ‘why would you get out of the car’? Why now? I should be the one to step out and clear the way, Zlatan was still on stage.”

Music sensation Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, along with his associate Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, were detained on Wednesday in connection with MohBad’s demise.

MohBad passed away on September 12, 2023, in Lagos, and was interred the following day. Subsequently, the police conducted an autopsy on his remains.
