What Tinubu Said Concerning Salary Review For Civil Servants
President Bola Tinubu, in a national broadcast on Monday night, revealed that his government is planning to review civil servants’ salaries.
This measure comes as part of their efforts to mitigate the impact of the removal of petroleum subsidy, which has led to an increase in the price of fuel.
Tinubu assured the workers that the government is working in collaboration with the Labor unions to introduce a new national minimum wage. He stated, “Your salary review is coming,” and promised that once the new minimum wage is agreed upon, budget provisions will be made for its immediate implementation.
The President also commended some private organizations in the Organized Private Sector for already implementing general salary reviews for their employees.
