A video capturing the heated exchange has since gone viral on social media, showing the exact moment Kanu furiously confronted his legal team while speaking to the media within the court premises.

“Stop talking when I am talking,” Kanu snapped at the lawyer in a tense scene that quickly drew public attention.

Meanwhile, the Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Binta Nyako, has indefinitely adjourned Kanu’s trial. This decision followed Kanu’s insistence that Justice Nyako could no longer preside over his case, citing her previous recusal.

It’s worth recalling that the trial was initially paused on September 24, 2024, after Justice Nyako stepped down from the case following Kanu’s oral request. However, Chief Judge John Tsoho later overruled her recusal, stating that such a request must be formally filed through a motion on notice.

With this development, the case file has been returned to Justice Nyako for further proceedings, leaving Kanu’s legal battle in continued suspense.
