Youth Leader Slain, Two Abducted, And Many Injured As Gunmen Storm Nasarawa Community
In a harrowing turn of events, the peaceful tranquility of Nakere community in Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State was shattered as unknown gunmen unleashed terror, leaving devastation in their wake.
During the brazen attack that occurred around 9 pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, Tari Moses Gbaja, affectionately known as T Boy and esteemed youth leader, fell victim to the violence, succumbing to the assailants’ gunfire.
The heart-wrenching ordeal didn’t end there, as the gunmen callously abducted two individuals from their midst. Among the abducted are Nnamani Albert, a respected businessman, and Tabitha Dauda Musa, the beloved wife of the presiding pastor of Christ-Elect Revival Mission, sending shockwaves of anguish through the community.
As the echoes of gunfire faded, the aftermath revealed a community grappling with the physical and emotional toll of the attack. Scores of residents bore the brunt of the violence, sustaining injuries that serve as painful reminders of the night’s terror. However, their resilience shines through as they receive urgent medical attention at a nearby hospital, bravely confronting the scars of the tragedy.
Amidst the chaos and sorrow, Nakere community stands united in grief and determination, rallying together to support one another in the face of adversity. Yet, questions linger in the air, demanding answers, justice, and above all, a renewed commitment to peace and security for all.
