The Ondo APC leaders, represented by the Ondo Vanguards for Good Governance, have raised alarm over concerns that Aiyedatiwa may be orchestrating efforts to manipulate the primary election slated for April 20th.

According to the group’s Coordinator, Evangelist Tade Ojo, fake APC membership slips have surfaced, purportedly intended for distribution to individuals unaffiliated with the party. Ojo asserts that such actions hint at attempts to undermine the integrity of the primary process.

In response to these allegations, the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot Soldiers (LACO-FS) spokesperson, Kayode Fasua, dismisses the claims as baseless, attributing them to “jittery aspirants” seeking to sow discord.

Fasua maintains that the primary election remains an internal affair of the APC, emphasizing the party leadership’s impartiality in treating all aspirants equally. He refutes any involvement of Aiyedatiwa or his supporters in producing counterfeit membership cards, while also denying allegations of violence or vandalism associated with the governor or his campaign team.

Amidst these allegations and counterclaims, the spotlight remains on the upcoming primary election, with stakeholders closely monitoring developments to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process. As tensions simmer, the focus shifts to the APC leadership’s response and efforts to uphold the integrity of the party’s internal democracy in Ondo State.
