Akpabio’s Wife Fires Back: ‘We Knew Your Husband Before He Married You’ – Slams Natasha’s Claim

Unoma Akpabio, wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has refuted allegations of sexual harassment made by Senator Natasha Akpoti.

In response, Unoma Akpabio dismissed the claims as false, accusing Natasha of tarnishing her husband’s image for personal benefit. She stated that Akpabio and Natasha’s husband are close friends, emphasizing that her husband is a disciplined and jovial man whose actions are often misinterpreted.

Meanwhile, Senator Ireti Kingibe, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), criticized Natasha over her claims regarding seat reassignment in the Senate. Natasha had previously protested a change in her assigned seat, alleging it was part of a plan to frustrate her legislative efforts.

Kingibe, who chairs the Senate Committee on Women Affairs, acknowledged that the Senate has not always been gender-friendly but noted improvements. She argued that Natasha’s actions did not align with the Senate’s rules, stating, “The Senate is not a place for trivial fights over seating arrangements.”

The controversy has since escalated, with the Senate referring Natasha’s case to the Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions for review
