Media personality and content creator, Amarachi Amusi, popularly known as Ashmusy, has said she is no longer under pressure to rush into marriage after taking steps to preserve her fertility. According to Ireporter Online, the influencer made this known during a recent appearance on the Echo Room podcast, where she revealed that she had frozen her eggs as part of a long-term plan to secure her chances of becoming a mother.

Ashmusy explained that the decision has significantly eased the emotional pressure she once felt around marriage and childbearing, noting that she previously considered settling for a man she did not see as an ideal partner due to anxiety over her “biological clock.” She disclosed that her earlier concern was driven by the desire to have children before the age of 35, which nearly pushed her into a relationship she knew was not right for her.

She added that many women make similar rushed decisions because of societal expectations around fertility, often leading to unhappy unions. However, she said freezing her eggs has given her reassurance and freedom of choice, as she is now open to marriage but no longer desperate to pursue it hastily. She further noted that she remains confident about becoming a mother in the future, even if she chooses to explore options such as insemination within the next few years if the right partner does not come along. Ashmusy also expressed a personal preference for having mixed-race children in the future.
