Breaking: Former Minister Assassinated In Broad Daylight!Baba Siddique, a 66-year-old prominent local lawmaker and former Maharashtra state minister, was tragically shot multiple times in the chest outside his son’s office in Mumbai, as reported by Indian media. The shocking assassination has sent ripples across Maharashtra’s political landscape.

Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister, Ajit Pawar, who is from the same political party as Siddique, condemned the “cowardly attack.” The Hindustan Times reported that two suspects had been arrested, while authorities continue to hunt for a third accomplice.

According to NDTV, the arrested suspects claimed ties to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, led by the infamous criminal currently incarcerated and accused of masterminding multiple killings.

This brutal attack comes just weeks after Siddique’s security was increased due to death threats and ahead of upcoming elections later this year. Pawar assured the public that the crime would be thoroughly investigated and that all those responsible, including the mastermind, would face justice.

Siddique, a figure well-known for his connections to Bollywood stars and for hosting lavish social events, was a significant presence in Maharashtra’s political and social circles. His assassination is reminiscent of another high-profile killing in 2023, when politician Atiq Ahmad was shot dead live on television in Uttar Pradesh alongside his brother, Ashraf, while in police custody.

That incident occurred just days after Ahmad’s son, Asad, was killed by police in what many saw as an extrajudicial act.
