EDO 2024: Prince Clem Agba Appreciates Supporters, Affirms Commitment To Osadebe Avenue
In a press release issued on the morning of January 22, 2024, Prince Clem Agba, former Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, and a prominent gubernatorial aspirant for the Edo 2024 elections under the All Progressives Congress (A.P.C), extended his heartfelt appreciation to his supporters. The release aimed to address recent speculations and provide clarity on the screening process conducted by the committee led by Prof. Julius Ihonvbere.
Prince Clem Agba acknowledged the efforts of the committee, emphasizing its purpose to streamline the aspirant pool from 29 to 6 using specific criteria. Notably, he expressed gratitude as the screening outcome favored him, securing his place among the final six approved aspirants before the committee members returned to their respective locations.
The press release clarified that discussions regarding the zoning of the ticket were absent from the conversation within the Edo state chapter of the party. This stance was reaffirmed in a subsequent meeting with the APC’s National Working Committee on January 15, 2024.
Prince Clem Agba reassured his supporters that there is no indication of any further committee to investigate the list. Despite the recent uncertainties, he urged his supporters to disregard any contrary news circulating and stand firm in their shared commitment. In his words, he stated, “Do not waver, my friends. Our march to Osadebe Avenue continues undeterred. Together, we shall overcome every challenge and triumph for the betterment of our beloved Edo State.”
As Edo State gears up for the 2024 elections, Prince Clem Agba’s message serves as a rallying call, emphasizing unity and unwavering dedication to the shared vision for a better future for Edo State.
