In response to the widespread decay in the state’s health sector, Governor Dauda Lawal declared a state of emergency upon taking office. His administration has embarked on a comprehensive healthcare revolution, focusing on renovating, modernizing, and equipping general hospitals across Zamfara. These efforts aim to provide effective, safe, and people-centered healthcare services to the populace.

Despite these initiatives, challenges persist. Approximately 500 Primary Health Care Centers (PHCs) in Zamfara remain non-operational due to insecurity, further exacerbating the healthcare crisis.
