Presented by the state House of Assembly Speaker, Abdulkarim Lawan, the revised appropriation bill was officially handed over to the governor in Maiduguri’s Government House Council Chamber on Wednesday.

Governor Zulum emphasized the importance of strict adherence to the terms of the appropriation bill by the state executive council members and agency heads when submitting their memos for approval.

Expressing gratitude for the swift approval of the budget, Governor Zulum commended the leadership and members of the state House of Assembly for their maturity in handling the matter.

Confident about the positive impact of the appropriations bill, the governor highlighted that the N208.7 billion allocated to capital expenditure is geared towards providing the state’s citizens with tangible dividends of democracy.

Earlier, the Speaker praised the governor for the high-quality projects executed across the state over the last five years. He noted that the upward review of the appropriations bill aimed to cover sectors crucial to the well-being of the people.
