Serving as the Special Adviser on Public Relations and Strategy to Zulum since June 2019, Gusau had previously held the same position under Senator Kashim Shettima during his governorship.

The statement quoted Governor Zulum as saying, “Mallam Isa Gusau was admired by everyone for his commitment to the people of Borno State and his exceptional professionalism in his role.
