The demonstrators listed several unaccomplished projects, including the Obeagu water scheme, judge’s quarters, Fire Service center, police station, and more, highlighting the irony of “charity begins at home.” They also raised concerns about the alleged neglect of Agulu General Hospital, pointing out the disparity between Obi’s philanthropic activities elsewhere and the deteriorating state of the hospital in his community.

The protesters expressed dissatisfaction with the reported embezzlement of 40 million naira allocated for community projects, blaming the contractor rather than directly accusing Obi. According to one protester named Ugochukwu, the contract for the General Hospital Agulu was awarded by Peter Obi, who claimed to have paid over 200 million naira to the contractor. However, the contractor denied receiving such an amount, leading to frustration among the aggrieved youths.

Members of the community called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to intervene in the matter, emphasizing the urgent need for a functional hospital in Agulu. A PDP member among the protesters lamented that despite their unwavering support for Obi in various elections, he appeared to have forgotten his people and questioned the morality of distributing funds across Nigeria and Africa while neglecting the plight of his hometown.
