MNJTF forces repelled an attack on their base. According to Zagazola Makama, a respected counterinsurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, the troops launched a counteroffensive, killing six ISWAP militants and wounding four others.

However, the MNJTF also suffered casualties, with five of their personnel sustaining injuries during the clash. Intelligence reports revealed a leadership change within ISWAP, with Abu Usman replacing Abu Sale as the new leader of the Marte sector. Additionally, ISWAP is reportedly preparing for an assault on Wulgo in Borno State or Malam Fatori, having recently added three more gun trucks to their fleet, now totaling 10.

In another significant blow to ISWAP, the Nigerian Air Force, as part of Operation Hadin Kai, conducted a precision airstrike on Malam Fatori, Borno State, eliminating dozens of militants. The strike was aimed at key ISWAP positions, disrupting their activities in the region. Intelligence reports indicated that a large group of ISWAP fighters had gathered around Malam Fatori, with vehicles and motorcycles identified as key logistical assets for the terrorists.
