Man-Allegedly Attempting-Theft At Lagos Airport Powerhouse Gets-Electrocuted (Photos)

An unidentified man reportedly suffered an electric shock while attempting to steal electrical cables inside the powerhouse of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) at the Lagos airport. FAAN Managing Director Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku disclosed this during the inauguration of a 30-man security outfit for the airport on Monday.

Kuku mentioned that the incident occurred recently when the man unlawfully entered a building housing FAAN power generators and began disconnecting installations supplying power to the airport.

Addressing the newly inaugurated security personnel, Kuku emphasized the importance of collaboration with other security agencies to maintain a safe and secure airport environment. She highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance airport security, including investments in training, armory, and coordination with agencies like the Air Force.

She noted, “Today, we are collaborating with all the security agencies, especially with the Air Force,” underscoring the commitment of President Bola Tinubu, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Mr. Festus Keyamo, and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu to airport security.
