Ndume Commends Tinubu For Appointing Daniel Bwala, Urges Reconciliation With VP Shettima

Former Senate Majority Leader, Mohammed Ali Ndume, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Daniel Bwala as Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media. Ndume, who represents Borno South Senatorial District (making him Bwala’s senator), described the appointment as a reflection of Tinubu’s “large heart” and leadership qualities.

Bwala, who served as the spokesperson for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar during the 2023 presidential campaigns, was recently appointed to the prestigious role by President Tinubu.

“I commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Daniel Bwala as his Special Adviser on Public Communication and Media,” Ndume said. “This move deserves significant praise, particularly considering Bwala’s role in recent political events. It demonstrates a rare kind of leadership – one that is truly large-hearted, a trait not often seen in today’s leaders.”

Ndume also encouraged Bwala to seek reconciliation with Vice President Kashim Shettima, noting that Bwala had left the APC over Shettima’s appointment. He urged Bwala to work closely with the Vice President in promoting Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.

Additionally, Ndume advised Bwala to take inspiration from Tinubu’s long-time loyal associates like Sunday Dare and Bayo Onanuga, who defend the president’s policies with respect and factual backing. He also urged Bwala to stay connected with the grassroots, stressing that “charity begins at home.”

The senator concluded by wishing Bwala success in his new role.
