The Federal High Court, presided over by Justice S. A. Amobeda, upheld the authority of Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, reinforcing his position as the 15th Emir of Kano and ensuring his rights and privileges remain intact.

In contrast, the Kano State High Court, under the jurisdiction of Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu, issued a protective injunction for Muhammadu Sanusi II and his associates.
