Buzzing Nigerian singer Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma, popularly known as Qing Madi, has revealed that her mother was instrumental in launching her music career. The 17-year-old artist credited her mother for discovering her talent and pushing her to pursue music professionally.

In a recent episode of Hip TV’s “Trending” with KimOprah, Qing Madi shared that her mom’s passion for her talent exceeded her own. “I didn’t realize I could sing, my mom did. She was the one that was very forward with my career when I wasn’t passionate about it. She wanted it more than I wanted it. I wanted to be a lot of things, not an artiste,” said the ‘Adenuga’ singer.
