Sam-Amadi Urges Nigerians Compliance With Law On New National Anthem (Details)

Sam Amadi, Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts and former Executive Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has expressed his support for singing the new National Anthem, stating that it has become a legal requirement.

In a post on his X handle on Saturday, Amadi explained that despite his reservations about the timing and process of reinstating the old anthem, he will honor it as long as it remains law. He advised others to do the same unless the court rules otherwise.

“I will sing the new (old) National Anthem. It’s now the law. I deplore the logic of bringing it back now and the manner it was brought back. But unless the court nullifies the law, I will honour it. And everyone should honour it,” Amadi stated.
