The two leaders exchanged pleasantries at the wedding of Senator Danjuma Goje’s daughter, as reported by Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga described Atiku as an old friend of Tinubu, stating, “President Tinubu meets old friend Atiku Abubakar at the National Mosque for the Jumat and wedding of Senator Danjuma Goje’s daughter.”

Other notable figures in attendance included APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, and former Borno State Governor Ali Modu Sheriff.

In separate news, Defence Minister Badaru Abubakar affirmed President Tinubu’s commitment to fully support efforts to end Nigeria’s growing insecurity. During a visit to the 17 Brigade in Katsina, he urged the troops to tackle the ongoing security challenges in the state. Speaking in the border town of Gurbin Baure, Jibia Local Government, Abubakar reported the president’s satisfaction with the progress made in anti-banditry operations in the region.
