This initiative aims to meticulously evaluate federal ministries, departments, and agencies, setting the stage for an assessment exercise scheduled at the end of the month.
A senior official within the Central Delivery Coordination Unit, led by the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination, Hadiza Bala-Usman, unveiled this development.
The appointed civil servants, hailing from 35 federal government entities, will delve into the performance metrics, key indicators, and reporting mechanisms during the extensive assessment process.
With a stern commitment to delivering on promises, President Tinubu is leaving no room for underperformance. The president’s vow to dismiss ministers falling short of expectations underscores the seriousness of this evaluation initiative.
As the officials convene in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, for the technical retreat, the focus is on enhancing ministerial deliverables and prioritizing initiatives that resonate with the aspirations of Nigerians.
Bala-Usman emphasized the vital role of delivery officers and planning directors in ministries, acting as the crucial link to provide feedback, track progress, and identify challenges.
The scrutiny will encompass various sectors, including aviation, where functionality of airport facilities and customer experience will be under the microscope. As the assessment unfolds, ministers are urged to demonstrate tangible results, or face the repercussions of non-performance
