According to DAILY POST, the Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Funsho Adegboye, disclosed this to journalists in Benin.

Adegboye reported that members of the State’s Security Network were summoned by an individual named Hassan Haladu during an altercation with the deceased. Upon arriving at the scene, the ESSN members restrained the deceased, who subsequently died from suffocation.

Upon receiving the report, officers from the Ikpoba Hill Divisional Headquarters swiftly intervened and arrested six suspects.

The commissioner stated that the deceased’s body has been taken to Our Clinic Hospital for an autopsy, and an investigation is underway.

In another development, Adegboye announced the arrest of Akhere Solomon, an alleged serial killer involved in recent cult-related killings in the state. Solomon was apprehended following an investigation into a murder case reported by one Samuel, who claimed his brother was shot dead by suspected cultists.

As a result of the petition, police operatives took action and arrested Solomon, who confessed to being a member of the Eiye secret cult and participating in recent killings. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members who are still at large.
