Capt. Oya James, spokesman for the Military Special Task Force, announced this commendable feat in a statement released on Tuesday, highlighting the exemplary conduct exhibited by the troops during a critical interception operation. The soldiers intercepted 30 rustled cows at the Bisichi checkpoint in Barkin Ladi local government area, bravely thwarting an attempted act of criminality.
According to Capt. James, the perpetrators, identified as Anas Usman, aged 20, and Gyang Cholly, aged 42, brazenly attempted to bribe the troops in a desperate bid to evade justice and secure a security pass for the stolen cattle. However, undeterred by the allure of monetary gain, the soldiers resolutely rejected the bribe and apprehended the suspects, ensuring that justice prevailed.
In recognition of their exceptional courage and integrity, Major General Abubakar, commander of Operation Safe Haven, personally commended the gallant personnel and presented them with a well-deserved cash reward. Brigadier General M.O. Agi, Chief of Staff OPSH, echoed the commander’s sentiments, urging all security personnel to emulate the exemplary conduct displayed by their colleagues.

As the nation celebrates these unsung heroes, their noble actions stand as a beacon of hope and resilience, inspiring admiration and gratitude from all quarters.
