During a press briefing in Abuja, Comrade Attahiru Musa, the President of the coalition, criticized Wike’s governance approach, likening it to running the FCT as a personal fiefdom. Musa emphasized the need for Wike to adhere to the federal character principle in appointments, asserting that the current trend neglects the essence of inclusivity and unity within the capital territory.

The coalition emphasized that Wike’s appointments have failed to reflect the federal character principle, raising concerns about potential discord within the FCT. They reminded the minister of his role as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and urged him to prioritize inclusivity and unity over personal interests.

Highlighting the importance of adhering to policies that promote unity and inclusiveness, the Arewa youths called for an immediate reassessment of Wike’s appointments. They warned of the potential consequences on the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the peaceful coexistence within the capital territory if the issue is not addressed promptly.
