Breaking: Ministries With The Highest Allocations Revealed

President Bola Tinubu’s proposed budget underwent augmentation by N1.2 trillion, a modification approved by the parliament.
Abubakar Bichi, the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, clarified that the N1.2 trillion increment was necessitated by inflation and the commitment from Government Owned Enterprises (GOEs) to boost their revenue.
In the ratified budget, the Ministry of Defence secured the highest allocation of N1.3 trillion. Following closely, the Ministry of Police Affairs received the second-highest allocation at N869.121 billion, while the Ministry of Education was granted N857.134 billion.
Other allocations in the approved budget include N667.577 billion for the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, N362.552 billion for the Ministry of Interior, and N201.467 billion for the Ministry of Youths.
The Office of the National Security Adviser received N199.763 billion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs obtained N140.456 billion, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security was allocated N110.248 billion. The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation received a grant of N100.248 billion.
