No More Delays Defence Minister Demands Military Action To End Insecurity

The Defence Minister, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has urged the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to intensify airspace control and step up efforts to eliminate insecurity, especially in Nigeria’s North-West. “We are deploying additional platforms, including attack helicopters and drones, to boost capabilities against bandits and terrorists. The President is satisfied with your progress and is committed to equipping and supporting your welfare needs.”

The Minister emphatically called on the forces, stating, “End it now, please. End insecurity now.” He commended the dedication shown in recent months, noting positive daily progress and expressing confidence in their capability to swiftly resolve the security issues.

In a statement from the Ministry of Defence, the Minister also acknowledged the collaborative efforts from Zamfara and Katsina state governments, who have been actively supporting federal initiatives against insecurity in the region.
