According to a statement by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu will observe the occasion with prayers for Nigeria and spend time with his family, in reverence to the solemnity of the occasion.

Despite the holiday, Ngelale noted that President Tinubu will continue with his official duties during and after the Eid-el-Fitr period.

‘We Have Competent Leaders’ – APC Chieftain Knocks Tinubu For Giving Appointment To PDP Member

In a separate development, an APC chieftain has criticized President Tinubu for appointing a PDP member to a position, emphasizing that competent leaders exist within the APC ranks.

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) clarified that the recent 240% tariff hike in electricity fees for Band ‘A’ consumers is not directly influenced by President Tinubu or Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu. Instead, the NLC attributed the decision to international bodies such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Describing the tariff increase as unjust and unpopular, the NLC warned of potential consequences, suggesting that if the government chooses to heed the advice of the World Bank and IMF, it must be prepared to face the fallout.
