APC vs PDP

Party spokesman Felix Morka stated in a released statement, “Assuming that it has any spec of decency left, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) must tender an unreserved apology to the courts and our judges for the senseless, irresponsible, reckless, and unjustified attacks it mounted against the judiciary throughout this electoral cycle.”

The APC accepted the Supreme Court decisions on election petitions with calm acceptance, noting that while the court upheld the election results in Lagos, Ebonyi, and Cross River States in favor of APC candidates, decisions in Kano, Zamfara, Bauchi, Plateau, and Abia states favored other political parties and their candidates.

Morka emphasized that these decisions affirm the authority, vibrancy, and independence of the judiciary, and the APC has consistently maintained that the judiciary should be allowed to perform its duty in resolving disputes, including electoral disputes.

The party congratulated the winners, particularly governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, and Bassey Otu of Cross River State, urging everyone to remain calm and maintain peace.
