Former APC Chairman Adebisi Akande Claims-Spiritual And Political-Threats After To Stop Tinubu’s Inauguration

On Thursday, May 30, Chief Adebisi Akande, former national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), revealed that serious spiritual threats and political maneuvering attempted to prevent Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s inauguration as Nigeria’s president before May 29, 2023.

Speaking in Kaduna as the chairman of a one-day lecture organized by Arewa Think Tank to celebrate President Tinubu’s first year of achievements, Akande stated, “The tension and threats generated in the country by the opposition with the view to deny Tinubu the presidential victory in the Presidential election were not surprising.”

He explained that opposition forces have historically opposed a united Nigeria, referencing events since 1953 when Chief Tony Enahoro first moved for independence in parliament. “Our polity has been moving from tensions of one threat to another that Nigeria must not be allowed to continue as one and united country,” Akande noted.

Akande described a series of prophecies and actions aimed at thwarting Tinubu’s political journey. Despite predictions that Tinubu would not become the APC candidate or win the presidential election, he achieved both milestones. Following his victory, further spiritual and political efforts were made to block his inauguration and later to challenge his presidency in court, but Tinubu overcame these obstacles. Concerns about his health were also unfounded as he remained healthy.

He celebrated the resilience of Nigeria, stating, “Nigeria has been waxing stronger and stronger as one and united country! One Nigeria is a major part of what we are now celebrating.”

As the pioneer national chairman of the APC, Akande expressed confidence in Nigeria’s future under Tinubu’s leadership. He urged citizens to support a united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria, hoping for the realization of collective and individual aspirations.

The lecture, themed “Our Diversity, Our Strength,” featured the governor of Benue State, Rev. Father Hyacinth Alia, as the guest speaker, with Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani as the chief host. Rev. Father Alia emphasized the importance of unity and leveraging Nigeria’s diversity as a source of strength, warning that the failure of Nigeria would impact the entire African continent.

Governor Uba Sani echoed these sentiments, highlighting Tinubu’s commitment to unity and the well-being of the country despite current economic challenges. He recounted Tinubu’s role in the pro-democracy movement and called for national support for the president.

Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, Chief Convener of Arewa Think Tank, outlined the objectives of the event, emphasizing the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Tinubu. He praised Tinubu’s achievements in governance, security, and social transformation, urging continued support for the administration to ensure peace, progress, and unity in Nigeria.
