Oshiomhole’s Bold Declaration: APC To Reclaim Power In Edo State After Obaseki’s Tenure (Details)
Former Edo North senator, Adams Oshiomhole, stirred up anticipation and enthusiasm on Sunday as he confidently proclaimed the imminent return of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to power in Edo State. Speaking at the inauguration of the new APC secretariat in Benin, Oshiomhole outlined the party’s strategy for victory in the upcoming gubernatorial elections slated for November.
With unwavering conviction, Oshiomhole affirmed that Edo State would witness a resurgence under the leadership of Monday Okpebholo, the APC governorship candidate. Emphasizing Okpebholo’s grassroots appeal and dedication to tangible progress, Oshiomhole dismissed empty rhetoric and prioritized action-oriented governance.
“We will leave no stone unturned in our quest to defeat the opposition,” declared Oshiomhole, highlighting the party’s determination to secure victory over rival political factions. He underscored November 12, 2024, as the date when the APC would reclaim governance in Edo State, marking the expiration of Governor Godwin Obaseki’s tenure.
Reflecting on recent defections from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, Oshiomhole commended the transparent efforts of party members, particularly in Egor LGA, to consolidate support for the APC. He underscored the significance of unity and respect for party elders in maintaining cohesion within the political fold.
As Oshiomhole’s rallying cry reverberates throughout Edo State, the stage is set for a fiercely contested electoral showdown, with the APC positioning itself as the vanguard of progress and change.
