Burna Boy Equals Wizkid’s Feat With 1 Billion UK Streams, Celebrates With Sold-Out Show!

The ‘African Giant’ artist was awarded a BRIT plaque during his sold-out show at the London Stadium on Saturday night in recognition of this achievement.
Burna Boy now joins his compatriot Wizkid as the only African artists to reach over a billion streams in the United Kingdom.
In addition to this milestone, Burna Boy holds the record for the highest-peaking African album on the UK chart, with his sixth studio album ‘Love, Damini’ topping the chart in July 2022.
Following Saturday’s sold-out performance, Burna Boy became the first African artist to sell out the 80,000-capacity London Stadium twice.
