Senator Thomas, representing Delta South Senatorial District, made this revelation during a speech in Warri on Sunday, vehemently denouncing the perpetrators of the dastardly act.

As the Vice-Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence, Thomas termed the murder of the military personnel as “a crisis taken too far,” emphasizing the need for a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

Expressing deep sorrow and offering condolences to the military authority and the grieving families, the senator stressed the urgency of swift intervention by both the state and federal governments to prevent further escalation.

Highlighting the importance of employing tactical intelligence to apprehend the culprits without endangering innocent civilians, Senator Thomas called for cooperation from the Okuama Community, urging them to assist the military in identifying and bringing the perpetrators to justice.

His comments align with the recent directive from the government, led by President Bola Tinubu, granting the Defence Headquarters the mandate to ensure the perpetrators of the condemnable act are brought to book swiftly.
