Edo’s Path To A People-Centric Government: Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s Pledge For 2024

Expressing profound gratitude to the citizens and residents of Edo for their unwavering support and prayers over the years, Ize-Iyamu extended warm Christmas wishes to all, encouraging them to draw inspiration from the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The declaration marked not only a commitment to the state’s advancement but also an opportunity to collectively work towards the greatness of Edo. Pastor Ize-Iyamu, having spent his entire life in Edo, resonates deeply with the concerns, frustrations, and hopes of the people, finding inspiration in their tenacity and resolve.

His primary objective in politics, he emphasized, is to access government for the benefit of the people. Described as a man with a fervent passion for governance and a determination to contribute to fixing Edo, Pastor Ize-Iyamu outlined campaign objectives centered on justice, opportunity, improved education, job creation, better infrastructure, and healthcare for all.

Drawing from his past roles as Chief of Staff to the Governor and Secretary to the State Government, Pastor Ize-Iyamu showcased a solid reputation for diligence, honesty, hard work, and innovation. Emphasizing the need for competent and purposeful leadership, he called for collaborations, policies, and frameworks that are people-oriented and achievable within limited resources.

The heart of Pastor Ize-Iyamu’s pledge lies in running a government that is truly of the people, for the people, and by the people. With an unparalleled understanding of the issues, he envisions life-enhancing changes that will transform Edo. Introducing the SIMPLE Agenda—a robust blueprint for sustainable prosperity and holistic development—he outlined commitments in key areas such as Security/Social welfare, Infrastructural development/urban renewal, Manpower development/training, Public/private/partnerships, Leadership by example, and Employment creation/social empowerment scheme.

In a call for unity, Pastor Ize-Iyamu urged Edolites to shun any form of ethno-religious sentiments fueled by political opponents. He highlighted his support for Ambrose Alli from Edo Central and Adams Oshiomhole twice, emphasizing his belief in power balancing.

As Edo prepares for the 2024 gubernatorial election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s pledge sets the tone for a transformative journey towards a government that echoes the aspirations and dreams of its people.
