Fatal Stabbing At Ogun Party Leads To Three Arrests

According to eyewitnesses, the altercation that led to Abubakar’s death was sparked by a dispute between him and another individual named Anuoluwapo. The altercation escalated, resulting in Abubakar being stabbed, allegedly with a broken bottle, in the stomach. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Three individuals have been apprehended by the Ogun State Police Command in connection with the incident. The suspects, identified as Dada Sulaiman and two others, were taken into custody following the altercation.

Upon receiving the distress call, police officers rushed to the scene and discovered Abubakar’s body. An investigation revealed that the altercation was fueled by intoxication, possibly alcohol, although the exact substance remains unconfirmed.

Omolola Odutola, spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed the incident as a suspected case of murder. She emphasized the need for caution when consuming alcohol, warning of the potential consequences of unchecked intoxication.

The deceased’s body has been deposited at a hospital for autopsy, and the investigation is ongoing. Cases of this nature, involving loss of life and criminal activities, typically warrant transfer to higher-level authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
