The agency’s Abuja office facilitated Divine’s rescue and sent him to the Uyo zonal command, where efforts to trace his biological family were launched through television and social media announcements. His parents, originally from Port Harcourt, soon responded, leading to the long-awaited reunion.

Divine’s mother, Mrs. Comfort Ibanga, a petty trader, recounted the traumatic year of searching for her son, including seeking assistance from various religious figures. She expressed deep gratitude to God and NAPTIP for their efforts in bringing Divine back safely.

Awhen cautioned parents to remain vigilant, noting that child abduction often involves neighbors or acquaintances.
