Another attack occurred in Orba, Udenu Local Area, aimed at HRH Igwe Patrick Eze, known as Igwe Waziri, the traditional ruler of Egali Amalla Community. While Igwe Waziri managed to evade harm, one police officer and one FRSC personnel were fatally shot.

This incident follows closely after another attack on Friday night, where two policemen attached to the Ogui Divisional Headquarters lost their lives during a routine stop-and-search operation along Presidential Road, Enugu.

In response to these attacks, Governor Peter Mbah has declared a N10 million bounty on the perpetrators and vowed to pursue them relentlessly. Mbah, addressing reporters after a State Security Council meeting, identified the Eastern Security Network (ESN), linked to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), as the likely culprits. He urged the public to assist security agencies in identifying and apprehending the criminals responsible for these heinous acts.

Mbah’s statements underscore the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents. He emphasized the use of all available resources and technology to track down and bring the perpetrators to justice, sending a clear message that such violence will not be tolerated in Enugu State.
