Wabara Warns of Nigeria’s Crisis If PDP Loses Rivers State Stronghold

Senator Adolphus Wabara, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, has issued a stark warning about the potential repercussions for Nigeria if the PDP loses control of Rivers State. In a recent visit to Governor Siminalayi Fubara at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Wabara emphasized the critical importance of Rivers State to the party and the nation.
Wabara’s visit underscored the urgency of resolving the internal crisis within the PDP. He stressed that losing Rivers State would spell disaster for the party and, by extension, for Nigeria. The PDP’s stronghold in Rivers State is seen as pivotal for maintaining the party’s influence and stability across the country.
The delegation, led by Wabara, aimed to address the underlying issues causing unrest within the PDP. Their mission was to foster peace and unity within the party, focusing on resolving the tensions and restoring internal harmony. The visit was intended to be a step towards understanding the root causes of dissatisfaction and finding effective solutions to strengthen the PDP.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara, during the visit, reaffirmed his allegiance to the PDP. He dismissed speculations about his departure from the party and expressed his commitment to its unity. Fubara appreciated the Board of Trustees’ visit as a sign of solidarity and reaffirmed his dedication to upholding the party’s strength in Rivers State.
This critical moment for the PDP highlights the significant role that state-level control plays in the broader political landscape of Nigeria. As the party navigates its internal challenges, the outcome in Rivers State will likely have far-reaching implications for both the PDP and the nation’s political future.
