Peter Obi Mourns The Passing Of Junior Pope, Popular Nollywood Actor

In a post shared via his official social media handle on Thursday, Obi remarked that the late actor was celebrated for his vibrant and energetic acting, which never failed to entertain and enlighten audiences.
Obi lamented that Pope’s demise marked another significant loss to the entertainment industry, which has emerged as a vibrant cornerstone of Nigeria’s social and economic landscape in recent years.
He stated, “I am saddened by the news of the passing of yet another dynamic Nollywood actor, Pope Obumneme Odonwodo, fondly known as Junior Pope. Our entertainment industry, and indeed our nation, mourns the loss of this young and talented actor.”
Recognizing Pope’s lively performances and his ability to bring joy to countless faces through his movie roles and comedy sketches, Obi praised the actor’s contributions to the industry.
He continued, “His departure signifies another substantial setback for the entertainment sector, which has become an essential part of our cultural and economic fabric. I am particularly pained to contemplate the grief and anguish of the families they have left behind.”
Expressing empathy for the families affected by the tragedy, including those who lost their lives in the boat accident, Obi extended his condolences to the Actors Guild of Nigeria and the entire entertainment fraternity.
In conclusion, he offered prayers for divine strength to cope with the irreparable loss and prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls.
