The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olatunji Disu, revealed that Togo, a member of the dreaded Iceland cult, was involved in illegal activities such as sea piracy, kidnappings, arms trafficking, and robberies, impacting the safety of residents and sea travelers.

The police, in collaboration with the C4i Intelligence Unit and the Borikiri Police Division, acted on credible intelligence, storming the camp of Togo’s criminal gang. Upon encountering the police, the group engaged in gunfire, leading to the death of the kingpin. Disu highlighted Togo’s criminal career, emphasizing his involvement in illegal oil bunkering camps, arms trafficking, and other heinous crimes.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, the Rivers State Police successfully rescued a day-old baby and apprehended two suspects involved in a human trafficking case. The diligent officers from the C4i Intelligence Unit conducted a routine stop-and-search operation along Igwuruta-Eneka Road, intercepting Daniel Destiny Onyegbulem and Uzodinma Eze. The suspects disclosed their involvement in transporting a sack containing the baby, with details pointing to a woman known as ‘Mama Destiny’ orchestrating the trafficking operation.
