According to Ireporter Online, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the appointment of new national vice chairmen to represent the country’s six geopolitical zones. The announcement was made public on Monday in a statement by the party’s national chairman, Cleopas Zuwoghe, and national secretary, Ikenna Enekweizu.

The party stated that the appointments aim to ensure balanced representation across all regions within its leadership structure. The selected zones include the north-west, north-east, north-central, south-south, south-east, and south-west.

This strategic move is part of the NDC’s plan to strengthen its national presence and establish a leadership system that is inclusive of all regions. It is also connected to preparations for the party’s upcoming congresses and national convention.

For the north-west zone, Mohammed Bakin Zuwo was appointed, while Danlami Arabs will represent the north-east, and Barnabas J. Ejisi the north-central zone. In the south, Frederick E. Owotorufa was named for the south-south, Teddy Obey for the south-east, and Adedayo Ekong for the south-west.
